Description
English: Woonsocket, RI, 08/09/2007 -- Participants in a prototype "Point of Delivery" (POD) event, hosted by the Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency in conjunction with FEMA, load water and a case of Meals Ready to Eat (MRE's) into the trunk of a volunteer "recipient's" car. The event, held over a two-day period (August 8-9) detailed all the elements and activity required to set up and operate a POD immediately following a catastrophic event. FEMA photo by Win Henderson
