Français : Scène de cour; un roi portant couronne et sceptre, assis sur une chaire médiévale ou un trône, pieds posés sur un coussin ou tabouret de pied, entouré de cinq personnages ou courtisans et écoutant le fou coiffé du bonnet aux oreilles d'âne, portant un costume garni de grelots, l'index de la main droite levé, la main gauche tenant la marotte.
Deutsch: Höfische Szene; ein König mit Krone und Szepter, auf einem mittelalterlichen Thronstuhl sitzend, die Füsse auf einem Fusskissen oder Taburett ruhend, umgeben von fünf Personen oder Höflingen und dem Hofnarren lauschend, der eine mit Eselsohren besetzte Kappe oder Gugel und ein mit Schellen besetztes Gewand trägt, den Zeigefinger der rechten Hand erhoben, in der linken die Marotte haltend.
