Description
English: Gold cufflinks set with diamonds and sapphires, in shape of the Imperial Russian Eagle. Sent to Nicholas Charles Bernard Hesse Allen of Harrogate as a confirmation present by his Godmother the Empress of Russia in 1910 when he was 16 years old.

According to Information supplied by Wartski's, London, Faberge's. workmaster for this item of jewellery was August Holming.The Russian Crown's expenditure ledgers state that 150 Roubles was spent on this gift in 1910.

Inventory number HARGM 6588.Relates to same man and life story as the Russian inscribed gold cross also in this image category.
