Facsuit example and it's inventor, attorney Kenneth Carlson

Summary edit

Description
English: The Facsuit is a facade suit placed in front of a video conference participant to make it appear that they are wearing a suit, such as for formal Zoom meetings. "Facsuit" is a portmanteau of facade and suit, pronounced "Fah-SOOT," invented in 2020 by attorney Kenneth Carlson for his own video court appearances. It consists of the visible portions of a suit jacket, shirt and tie for men or suit jacket and blouse for women, attached to a single panel like corrugated cardboard by glue or other means, with separate sleeves consisting of the jacket forearms with the shirt cuff attached to the inside of the each sleeve. The panel has a notch cut in it for the user to place their neck, positioning the collar around it, while the bottom rests on the user's lap. The Facsuit conceals what the user is really wearing behind it. Facsuit manufacturing is a cottage industry. Facsuit sales are enabled through a free "store" for each maker within the Facsuit.com website. Complete instructions on making and selling Facsuits are provided on the Facsuit.com website. Buyers visiting the Facsuit.com website can purchase any Facsuit posted on line, and contact the seller directly by phone, mail or email. Payments go directly to the maker, who then ships the Facsuit so ordered to the buyer by the selected carrier. Online, the Facsuits are ordered by gender, size, color, style and price range for easy selection. Sales tax, shipping, and prices are automatically calculated, with that data stored for the makers' tax reports and business purposes. Market data of the ordered Facsuits is provided to the makers, enabling a supply matching the actual demand.
