Summary edit

Description
English: Fair Hill Burial Ground in Philadelphia on the NRHP since August 7, 1998. The burial ground is bounded by Germantown and Indiana Aves., 9th, and Cambria Sts. in the Fairhill neighborhood of North Philly. According to Quaker usage this is a burial ground, not a cemetery. The land was given by Pennsylvania founder William Penn to "Quaker founder" George Fox. He left it to be used for a burial ground and a meetinghouse (Church) about 1703. Lucretia Mott on many Quakers who worked for abolition and women's equality are buried there. No fancy tombstones - everybody is equal in death.
