Description
English: Looking westwards towards Taunton at Fairwood Junction, Westbury. The line on the left is the Westbury avoiding line which was built in 1933 while the train (a railtour to Whatley Quarry headed by 66129) is on the original main line through Westbury station which dates from 1850. The original bridge is the arch on the left over the avoiding line - the old line was slewed beneath a second arch to allow the new line to have a straighter alignment.
