English: Fallen leaves In the Hermitage of Braid. The sycamore leaves, the ones with the dark spots, are affected by the tar spot fungus [Rhytisma acerinum]. The fungus does no damage, but appears on the leaves in autumn, developing from an inoculum of spores produced by the fungus in the spring on the overwintered fallen leaves . |
