Summary edit

Description
English: Prochka is traditionally celebrated in my hometown Prilep every year. It evolved from pagan rituals, when masks were used to scare away evil spirits and bad energies and thus start the year fresh. Once it acquired Christian connotations, it became known as “The Day of Forgiveness” when the faithful are encouraged to seek forgiveness from those they have wronged as well as to forgive those who have wronged them.
