| Description | Here is a far view of the approach road and forecourt of Chandigarh trains station. The plinthed locomotives you saw in the previous pictures are all located in the garden at the forecourt, which is what those trees to the right are a part of. Chandigarh station is very neat (though it got pretty crowded when we arrived the previous night), despite relatively few trains passing through the station. There are only two express trains a day from Amritsar, and when we were researching trains to get here from Amritsar, most connections were through Ambala, a major railway junction not too far from here.(Chandigarh, north India, Nov. 2017) |
