Description
English: A Simba FlatLiner 500 five leg subsoiler (3,5 m width) by the Jurassic Way, near to Tixover, Rutland, Great Britain.
  • It's used for disturbing compacted soils below about 8". This is where a pan can form which inhibits root growth of cereal crops. The roller to the rear aids clod cracking and stabilises the machine so that it works at a consistent depth.
  • A 150hp tractor would be required to pull this machine.
  • The Jurassic Way long distance pathway heads towards Ketton alongside the recently planted thorn hedge.
