Peint à l’encaustique sur une fine planche en bois, représentant le défunt sous les traits d’un jeune homme sur un fond gris, ses cheveux épais brun foncé, petite moustache et barbe courte, ses sourcils épais et arqués, ses yeux bruns regardant droit devant lui, rehaussés par des éclats blancs, son nez droit et long, ses lèvres charnues, son buste est légèrement tourné vers la gauche, il est vêtu d’une tunique blanche décorée de deux clavi verticaux rouges
