Deutsch: Die sichtbaren, bis 30m hohen Sandsteinfelsen wurden durch Tektonik aufgestellt und weicheres Tuffmaterial dazwischen durch Erosion herausgewaschen. Dazu kommen sichtbare Imprägnierung durch eisenhaltige Lavadämpfe, welche die Felsstrukturen gehärtet haben. (sogenannte trigonale Symmetrie des Siliziums)
Das Naturdenkmal steht seit 1981 unter Naturschutz. Es gibt dazu einen Geocache (sogenannter Earth-Cache) mit ausführlich recherchierten Beschreibung auf Geocaching.com von mir: "Basaltgang zum Nonnenfelsen" GC2BYQR |
