Summary
editDescriptionFemale Pegomya (Anthomyiidae)? (9088854658).jpg | This fly was found dead in my conservatory yesterday. Thanks to oxycera on diptera.info for the ID. I posed the fly on a rose petal then shot a stack of 219 images with my SX40 HS with the Raynox M-150 attached, f/8, 1/250 sec, ISO-100, flash-gun on the camera with a Pringles can "snoot", tissue diffuser and aluminium foil reflector behind. The camera was mounted on Manfrotto 055XPROB Tripod with a 410 Junior Geared head, using a micrometer-driven linear stage to shift the focus. The images were stacked with Zerene (PMax) then levels adjusted, sharpened a little and then cropped to remove streaking at edges using Photoshop Elements. |
