English: Ferry crabbing across Windermere Taken on the morning of the first day of the heavy rains of November 18-19th, 2009. The ramp seen under the water is normally dry - the ferry's ramp met the road almost on the level, which showed the effect the overnight rains had already had on Windermere. The ferry was eventually closed to traffic for a few days as its approach roads became inundated. |
