Description
Deutsch: Flösser am Sihlkanal vor der Sihlporte, Zürich, Schweiz, 1840: Talacker 41. Der Sihlkanal wurde an dieser Stelle mit einem Aquädukt über den Schanzengraben und neben der Sihlporte durch die Stadtbefestigung geführt. Der Kupferstich von Franz Hegi zeigt die Situation um 1840 bei der ein Flösser Holzstämme über die Kanalbrücke des Sihlkanals ("Zahme Sihl") leitet oder herausfischt. Der Stich gehört zu einer Serie "Zürcher Stadttore und Porten", welche 14 Kupferstiche umfasst und zuletzt 1975 wiederaufgelegt wurde.
