  • the red and yellow come from the Aramaic flag and represents the Syriac Orthodox.
  • the yellow and white come from the flag of the Holy See, and represents Roman Catholics.
  • the white and blue come from the Greek flag and represents the Greek Orthodox.
  • the red Latin cross on a blue field comes from the canton of the Christian flag in use in the USA, adapted into a triangular shape, to represent the Trinity.
  • St. George represents devotion to the saint and as the patron saint of soldiers, this flag is mainly used by members of the Israeli army from the community.
