Description
English: Diffusion flame: the combustive gas is separated from air; two zones can be seen:
  • the blue zone (1 200 °C), where the main combustion occurs, and
  • the white/yellow zone: the products of the combustion push the air away, so this part has less oxydant, the temperature rises 1 500 °C and the reaction produces soot; the soot particles radiate (black body, white at 1 500 °C, yellow at 700 °C)
English: Flamme de diffusion : le gaz combustible est séparé de l'air ; on distingue deux zones :
  • la zone bleue (1 200 °C), où se déroule la majeure partie de la combustion, et
  • la zone blanche/jaune: les gaz de combustion chassent l'air, cette zone est pauvre en comburant, la température atteint 1 500 °C et la réaction produit de la suie ; les particules de suie rayonnent (corps noir, blanc à 1 500 °C, jaune à 700 °C)
