Summary edit

Description

And the City Café on Crutched Friars. A gloomy passage in the City. The name is interesting. An 'ordinary' was a fixed-price meal available in restaurants in the olden days; you could get one in a French eatery on this site before the Great Fire of 1666, when it, like much else around went up in flames.

Thanks to the Londonist for some of that information.
