| Description |
March 30, 2011. Since the tsunami, the gynecology clinics in the prefecture were severely damaged and some of the doctors apparently killed due to the disaster. Thus, for over two weeks the pregnant women of the precinct have not seen or consulted a doctor. In accordance to orders given by the GOC Home Front Command and the Chief Medical Officer, the members of the mission are working proactively to seek out these women and allow them medical treatment, not just inside the clinic walls but at their own homes. The medical treatment includes a physical examination of the stomach and womb, an ultrasound, a Doppler test and a urine check.
