| Description |
Another view of the Tuscarora quartzite capping the summit of Mount Logan, Clinton County, within Bald Eagle State Forest. Many trees throughout the site show stunted or distorted growth from the harsh ridgetop environment. At the summit and along the south slope are old-growth and second-growth hemlocks, white pines, and hardwoods. The north slope has the greatest concentration of old-growth trees (mostly hemlocks). |
