Notes
  • Significance: The Cotton Seed Storage Building is a contributing historic resource in the Braselton National Register of Historic Places District and

represents the agricultural and industrial significance of the historic district. It was part of a cotton industry that included the extant Cotton Gin, a series of cotton compresses & warehouses (removed in 2005), and additional warehouses located south of the cotton gin (removed ca. 1960s) and remains a significant resource associated with the production of cotton in the early twentieth century. The building is also architecturally significant as an example of an early twentieth century agricultural warehouse. Character-defining features of the building include its two-story height, side-gable roof, and timber/wood frame construction.
