Description
Deutsch: Südansicht des Platzes „Am Spitz“ im 21. Wiener Gemeindebezirk Floridsdorf.
Ursprünglich war „Am Spitz“ eine Siedlung, die an der Gabelung der Prager und Brünner Straße entstand (ab 1804 eigene Gemeinde, 1850 gemeinsam mit Floridsdorf verwaltet und 1874 mit Floridsdorf vereinigt): [1]. Im Zentrum des Platzes das Amtshaus für den 21. Bezirk Floridsdorf, das von 1901 bis 1903 – noch als Rathaus der Gemeinde Floridsdorf – nach Plänen von Anton und Josef Drexler errichtet wurde: [2]. Im Vordergrund Regenbogen-Zebrastreifen, die auf Initiative der Bezirksrätin und Lesbe Sarah Hierhacker errichtet wurden und die sie am 22. April 2021 „einweihte“: [3] (Wiens 1. Regenbogen-Zebrastreifen entstand im Zuge der EuroPride 2019 vor dem Burgtheater und der 1. Transgender-Zebrastreifen im März 2021 an der Kreuzung Spitalgasse/Lazarettgasse: [4]).
