Fluorite on Sphalerite
An incredible LARGE specimen with bi-colored fluorite crystals, to 4.0 cm across perched on splendent, black sphalerite crystals to 1.5 cm . The fluorite crystals exhibit both pastel green and pastel lavender colors - and intense saturation as well. The crystals are SUPER GEMMY and transparent. The gemmier cubes are modified by octahedral faces. Only around the periphera is there even the smallest amount of contact. Overall, especially taking in teh size, this is an important and impactful specimen of significance for the locality and yet, compared to even the prices on relatively mediocre Chinese fluorite nowadays, these Mexican treasures just seem to be for some reason priced at a lower setpoint. I cannot say why, its just the way it is. One would think, as these are fewer and more rare, and historic for the locality, they'd cost more than a medium-level piece from a mine in china producing by the tonne. But, it just doesn't seem to hold. I ambasing these on cost, not wishes, sadly.
