English: Footbridge over the Luce. The height of recent floods can be judged from the debris caught in the access ramp. Unfortunately the ramp on the other side has been carried away, leaving a 5 foot drop - into a deep pool of water at the base of the concrete pillar. I waded the river a few yards upstream instead. Still, at least there is a bridge now, unlike when Oliver Dixon geographed this square in 2006 163838 |
