Summary edit

Description
English: a fashion vignette as published in the Tacoma Times in 1904. This particular dress is supposed to be "pale blue".
  • Text: Martha is having two or three summer dresses made early, so that when the first warm days come she will have something new and fresh to wear. The prettiest of her afternoon dresses is the one made of pale blue lawn, trimmed with bands of ribbon joining rows of shirring. The ribbon is the color of the gown, though a trifle plaer, and on the edge of the ribbon bands are sewed tiny pearl beads. The white beads give a delicate and pleasing look to the whole gown. The bead idea is a new one.
