English: Formal terrace and east wing of Tan y bwlch The present mansion at Tan y bwlch was built by the Oakeley family which were descended from a long line of Welsh squires, themselves descended from the tribal leaders of the fifth and sixth centuries. http://yba.llgc.org.uk/en/s-EVAN-GRI-1541.html The estate is now owned by the Snowdonia National Park and the house is used as a study centre. http://www.plastanybwlch.com
