Summary edit
DescriptionFornham Road - geograph.org.uk - 1479649.jpg |
English: Fornham Road Fornham Road has Victorian houses on the left (east) side - one is marked as 1870 - and car sales premises on the west. The scene ends at the 1849 railway bridge. In front of that, on the left, we see the square ruins of an entrance to the mediaeval St. Saviours hospital, which is now part of the Tesco site.
The central pedestrian refuge in the foreground is mystery as there is no obvious reason why anyone would want to cross here. At the Tesco entrance by the railway bridge there is no refuge and it is very difficult to cross the road safely. |
