Description

English: View of the west side of the barracks building at Fort Ballance (built 1886 - 1888), Wellington, New Zealand. The entrances are at the north and south ends (an arch through an external wall outside the southern entrance can be seen to the left). There are three rooms at the front, the two at either end have fireplaces with chimneys. The "windows" on the front wall have the remains of steel shutters, and there are loopholes (gun slits) clearly visible in the near wall. Two more rooms, behind the centre room, are set into the hillside. Panorama of five images stitched together with Hugin using a Panini projection
