Description The emperor Augustus built a two-storey portico along the front of the older Basilica Aemilia, and dedicated it in the names of his grandsons Caius Caesar and Lucius Caesar, the inscription to whom occupies most of the foreground. In the background to left, the Curia Julia and the dome of SS. Luca e Martina. CIL VI 36908.
