Deutsch: Sowjetische Fernseh- und Radiogeräte auf der Leipziger English: Soviet-made TVs and radios at the 1954 Leipzig Fair. Two units in the center are single-program Temp TVs, introduced in 1954. They were tuned at the factory to one of five standard frequencies; with only one program in the air there was no need for a costly and unreliable channel selector. If necessary, change of preset required physical replacement of tuning contours [1]. On top of them is the compact 'Zvezda' TV. It's top lid, coupled to a power switch, had to be kept open for cooling and proper sound reproduction. This, unfortunately, meant that the TV was grossly unsafe and prone to accidental damage. There was a safeguard: the lid doubled as a power switch; with the lid down, power was supposed to be cut off [2]. Русский: Советские радио и ТВ на лейпцигской ярмарке 1954 года. В центре два телевизора "Темп" московского радиозавода. "Темп", не имевший селектора каналов, предназначался для приёма только одной программы, работающей в одном из пяти каналов. Настройка канала производилась на радиозаводе, а в формуляре ТВ указывалось на какой канал настроен телевизор. На другой канал телевизор перестраивали заменой специальных контуров [3]. На "Темпы" водружена компактная "Звезда". При работе её крышка должна быть открытой для охлаждения и отражения звука встроенного громкоговорителя. Для надежности крышка исполняла роль клавиши включения - и при закрытии отключала телевизор [4]. Электробезопасность... какая электробезопасность?! |
