Description
English: Portrait of Francisco Arderius Bardán (Évora, September 17, 1835 - Madrid, 21 may 1886) was a musician, actor and Spanish businessman born in Portugal who developed its activity having as historical background the days revolution of 1868. After a trip to Paris in Offenbach in 1855, launched the popular «puff out Madrid» following the French model. The new formula, with a style of short, fun, spicy and superficial musical theatre, was a popular success in the framework of the Spanish scene.
Español: Francisco Arderius Bardán (Evora, 17 de septiembre de 1835 — Madrid, 21 de mayo de 1886) fue un músico, actor y empresario español nacido en Portugal que desarrolló su actividad teniendo como fondo histórico la revolución septembrina de 1868. Tras un viaje al París de Offenbach en 1855, puso en marcha los populares «Bufos madrileños» siguiendo el modelo francés. La nueva fórmula, con un estilo de teatro musical breve, divertido, picante y superficial, resultó un éxito popular en el marco de la escena española.
