Description
English: Frankfurt on the Main: Tuchgaden as seen from below the Neues Rotes Haus (New Red House, Markt 17 [Market 17]), the picture is bordered by its substructure from above, to the right and the left. To the right most of, to the left a part of the facades once limiting the Tuchgaden are visible, amongst them the probably Romanesque house Tuchgaden 9 beyond the streetlamp which stood in front of the famous Metzgerhoefchen (Butcher's Little Courtyard). In the background light from the Weibleinsplaetzchen shines in, in the very background the house Dunkle Leuchte (Dark Lamp, Bendergasse 1 [Coopers Lane 1]) can be seen.
Deutsch: Frankfurt am Main: Blick von unter dem Neuen Roten Haus (Markt 17) in den Tuchgaden, das Bild wird oben, rechts und links durch seinen Unterbau begrenzt. Rechts sehen wir fast alle, links einen Teil der Hausfassaden, die den Tuchgaden begrenzten, darunter auch rechts hinter der Laterne das vermutlich romanische Haus Tuchgaden 9, hinter dem sich das berühmte Metzgerhöfchen befand. Im Hintergrund sieht man Licht vom Weibleinsplätzchen hereinscheinen, ganz im Hintergrund ist das Haus Dunkle Leuchte (Bendergasse 1) zu erkennen.
