English: Frankton Top Lock. A view down the Montgomery Canal from just below its junction with the Llangollen Canal.
Originally this was in fact the main line of the canal from Ellesmere, which explains why Rowsons Bridge up on the Llangollen Canal, just beyond the junction, has the number 1 on it 130747, even though it is nearly 30 miles from the Llangollen's initial parting with the Shropshire Union Main Line at Hurleston. |
