Summary edit

Description
English: Haig in Cupar, Fife, 1919. The road into Cupar, Fife, lined with people including a military Guard of Honour. The road has been decorated with two triumphal arches, flags and bunting. A single figure, possibly Field Marshal (Earl) Haig (1861-1928), is walking along the centre of the road.

After the war, Haig toured, not only in Britain but throughout the Empire. From 1921, when he became President of the British Legion, a society to help ex-servicemen, many of Haig's trips were to raise funds for the society.
