| Description |
The pedestrian portion of Fremont Street, known as Fremont Street Experience, was created in the mid-1990s to revitalize downtown, which had lost much of its luster after the rise of the themed resorts of the Strip. It stretches from Main Street (Union Pacific railroad tracks) to Las Vegas Blvd. (originally Fifth Street, then Los Angeles Highway). A newer attraction is this zipline, which allows guests to fly along three blocks of the street at up to 30 mph, about 60 feet above ground. |
