English: Pictures related to the French military build-up in Djibouti following Fascist Italy's demand in November 1938 that it be ceded French Somaliland. The top photograph shows African colonial troops marching in front of recently-built concrete gun positions. In the photo below, light tanks are rolling down in front of civilians and government officials.
