DescriptionFrench minesweeper Bir Hakeim (M614) (MSO-451) under construction c1953.jpg	The Agile-class minesweeper MSO-451 under construction at Bellingham Shipyards Company, Bellingham, Washington (USA). The ship received the U.S. Navy designation "AM-541" (later MSO-451), and was completed on 24 February 1954. However, the minesweeper had been built for France and was transferred to the Marine Nationale on 16 March 1954 and named Bir Hakeim (M 614). The ship served until 4 September 1970, when she was transferred to Uruguay and renamed Maldanado (MS 33). MSO-451 was finally struck in 1979 and scrapped.
