Description
English:
Frida villa. In the floodplain (flood area) between the defensive dam and the Danube, the villa "Frida" stands, named after its former resident actress Frida Gombaszögi. With its lookout terrace, protected by an arcaded retaining wall, even the mood pictures of 1906 show the antecedents of the future (1922) Frida villa. The famous tragicomedy Frida Gombaszögi (former Friderika Grün) and her 2nd husband Andor Miklós (former Ármin Klein) bought and remodeled the building. Behind the demanding brick parapet, a walkway, an ornamental garden and an extension with a cozy porch were built. The actress with an adventurous life could even see the flagpole holder rising from the corner bastion and the unique palóc-baroque ornaments of the main façade. The original façade has now completely disappeared, the building has undergone several alterations, in the 1970s it was a guest house of the KISZ Central Art Ensemble, today it is a privately owned residential house, most of it stands empty. - 1 Kossuth Lajos Street, Tahitótfalu, Pest County, Hungary.
Magyar:
