Description
English: In the night of December 3rd, 2015 a cargo ship (Emsmoon), coming from Meyer Werft Papenburg, collided with the Friesenbrücke and destroyed it. The train route Groningen <--> Leer is for a longer time discontinued.
Deutsch: In der Nacht des 3. Dezember 2015 kollidierte ein von der Meyer Werft Papenburg kommendes Frachtschiff mit der Friesenbrücke und zerstörte diese. Die Zugverbindung Groningen <--> Leer ist dadurch auf längere Zeit eingestellt.
