English: Front View of the Top Crusher. This photograph shows the front elevation of the building which was built in 1930 together with the top two terraces of the quarry which it served. The production of road mettling had by 1930 become the main activity of the quarry. Prior to that the 'sets' i.e. granite cobblestones for paving streets had been the main product. |
