Summary edit

Description
English: Full to the brim The point where the river Aire (flowing centre right to centre left) is joined by the Calder (coming in between the trees toward the left) and the Castleford Cut of the Aire & Calder Navigation system branches off (bottom) - in effect a waterways crossroads. After almost 24 hours of torrential rain farther up the course of both rivers, the water was around 10 feet higher than usual: in the past couple of years almost as common an occurrence in summer as winter.
