Summary edit

Description
English: "Kandul Budha Jatra", aboriginal to a group of small villages: Peepalpadar, Antarla, Bandhpada, Badbandh and Dangarpada of the district Balangir, Odisha.

Mainly Lord Shiva and Goddess Shakti were being worshipped by the tribal community "Kandha" of Odisha. It is a hereditary event where the next generation of the family only worship. Here the supernatural power enters to the person sitting infront of the "Chattar"(idol of Goddess) folding his hands. All the peoples from these villages and also from very far places come to witness this auspicious spiritual festival.

It begins from the Aswina month Pratipada(crescent moon day of September or October) as "Sohala Puja"(worship for 16 days) and the Lord and Goddess were given offerings on the 16th day which is a full moon day.

People believe that there is really some supernatural power which comes and helps them in their sufferings and problems. People wait for nights to meet the God. When the wish gets fulfilled they come the next year and offer something to the God. Even I have experienced a miracle, due to privacy reasons I can't explain.
