Description
English: Four bears, designed by Günter Anlauf, casted by Wittenauer Eisengießerei, erected in 1981. Cast iron. Berlin Bezirk Mitte, Moabiter Brücke, placed on pedestals at the four ends of the balustrade. Image shows the bear at the southeastern end of the bridge. Anlauf's bears replaces four bears by Begas, Boese, Götz and Piper, erected in 1894, which were removed during WWII, probabely remelted.
Deutsch: Vier Bären, entworfen von Günter Anlauf, hergestellt von der Wittenaur Eisengießerei, errichtet 1981. Eisenguss. Berlin Bezirk Mitte, Moabiter Brücke, auf Postamenten an den vier Enden des Brückengeländers; das Bild zeigt den Bär in der südöstlichen Ecke der Brücke. Anhalts Bären ersetzen vier Bären von Begas, Boese, Götz und Piper, aufgestellt 1894, die im Zweiten Weltkrieg entfernt, vermutlich eingeschmolzen wurden.
