Summary edit

Description
English: Stone handaxe from the GLAM event at the British Museum's Ice Age exhibit. This handaxe found in Edmonsham, Dorset in Britain was made between 300,000 to 600,000 years ago. Although this axe has sharp serrated edges the handaxe's length and weight would make it difficult to use. It is unclear as to weather or not it was made as a status symbol or a functional tool.
