Description Die Naherholungsanlage Striemelsberg am südlichen Stadtrand von Waltershausen wurde 2014 auf dem Gelände eines ehemaligen Sägewerkes gestaltet. Der eingezäunte Platz wird videoüberwacht. Im Gelände gibt es zahlreiche attraktive Spielmöglichkeiten für Kinder, im Zugangsbereich eine Toilettenanlage und einen Treffpunkt für die Eltern. Auf dem westlichen Nachbargrundstück befindet sich eine Pferdesportanlage. In östlicher Richtung folgen mehrere Teiche und ein Naturschutzgebiet mit Verbindungswegen zum Schloss Tenneberg.
