Former manor house of West Ogwell, built 1790 by Pierce Joseph Taylor, "overwhelmingly plain exterior...no decoration whatever" (Pevsner, Nikolaus & Cherry, Bridget, The Buildings of England: Devon, London, 2004, p.902). 1943 became Convent of Jesus the Good Shepherd. 1589 stables and outbuildings survive from former manor house of Reynell family.
