Description
English: (1 in a multiple picture album)

This shot is taken through the arch, one of the last pieces of the original Mission before it fell into decay. When they restore the main buildings they left the arch for historical purposes.
On the block pillar sits one of the original bells from the Camino Real, the road taken by FatherJunipero Serra as he founded this series of missions.

In the background, the large tree is the oldest Pepper Tree in Calfiornia, planted in 1830.
