The side line, west side, isplanted in hardy perennials,with a flowering shrub at eachend as a terminal feature. On the eastern boundaryline dwarf flowering shrubsare planted at equal intervals. The planting at the base ofthe house consists of broad-leaved evergreens. The hedge along the frontis the silvery grey JapaneseCypress, with the green va-riety at the ends and en-trances for contrast and toemphasize those points.
