Description
Deutsch: Placidus Buechauer (1610 o.1611 - 1669), Abt von Stift Kremsmünster (Öberösterreich) (1644-1619) ließ 1652 am Südende des Almssee das Seehaus errichten. Das Kloster betrieb und betreibt dort Forst- und Fischwirtschaft. Die Gedenkplatte ist in der Kapelle des Hauses (öffentlich zugänglich, Panoramafreiheit) angebracht zur Erinnerung an die Errichtung des Hauses.
Inschrift: "Sei gegrüßt, mein Gast, und mit wenigen Worten erfahre eine lange Geschichte. Den Ort, in welchem Du stehest, hat Karl der Große, römischer Kaiser, dem von Tassilo, Herzog der Bayern, gegründeten Stifte, genannt Kremsmünster, zugebracht im Jahre Christi 782. Durch die Ungunst der Zeit, ungewiss wann, ging dieser Besitz verloren und viele Jahrhunderte hindurch behielt ihn der Erbe einer traurigen Zeit. Endlich hat Anton, Abt zu Kremsmünster, im Jahre 1624 mit der von ihm erworbenen Herrschaft Scharnstein, welche infolge Verbrechens der Rebellen verkäuflich geworden war, diesen Besitz dem Stifte wieder in dessen früheres Eigentum zurückgebracht. Und das Haus, welches Du siehst, erbaute daselbst Placidus, Abt zu Kremsmünster, im Jahre Christi 1652"
