English: Spade in an forged version
Deutsch: Geschmiedeter, dünner und scharfer Spaten für Geestböden. Der Spaten ist hier nach dem letzten Stich an der Stelle desselben nochmal für das Bild in die Grabefurche (Arbeitsrichtung: von links nach rechts) gestellt. Gut zu sehen ist, wie das scharfe Blatt die bei der Kartoffelernte (Kartoffeln mit violetter Fleischfarbe) übersehenen Knollen glatt durchgetrennt hat. In garem Boden lässt dieser Spaten sich ohne Tritt auf die Blattoberkante bis über dieselbige nur mit der Kraft der Hände / Arme einstechen. Der Boden war für gute Grabearbeit gerade noch tolerabel durchfeuchtet, man erkennt dies am noch schwach ausgeprägten Kleben der Erde am Spaten und den (hier nicht abgebildeten) Schuhen des Grabenden. |
